As many of you know this past weekend was my big 19 and I took off to the beach. Arriving here on Saturday did not consist of much other than a beach day + an early bed time so I could get up at the crack of dawn to start my new year of life off right.
At about 7:45am I woke up, jumped out of bed (actually off a couch, I swear it’s made of cloud tho, no joke) and into my new floral bikini. I was all set for a beach day, but a birthday is nothing without my energy so an iced chai + everything bagel and I was ready to go.
After spending my whole day at the beach, drinking a Piña Colada (virgin of course) and turning about 50 shades darker we headed to the village for some AMAZING ice cream. Let me just tell ya, I LOVE ice cream and this stuff was good. It could have been because I had been double fried by the sun, but I am not complaining because chocolate chip ice cream can do no wrong.
Thankfully I was not wearing my white pom-pom birthday dinner dress while eating that messy cone. I am obsessed with this dress. I bought it back in March with hope of wearing it on Spring Break which sadly never happened, but luckily I got to wear it for my special day (fingers crossed it is still on the market bc you should all own it) perfectly paired with my new indigo rd. tie ups + ray bans.
The night was filled with my two favorite things, shopping + food. I got lots of new fall pickups I am sure you will all see soon, (including some very cute neck scarfs) but back to everything else. Dinner was at this very small + VERY delicious restaurant called “The Table” in Sarasota. I highly rec this place 10/10 for a yummy veal in a sauce I can not pronounce and don’t care to. The night ended with some cheesecake (no fights happened) + a beautiful sunset. So far I would say 19 is a good age to be and I’ll take my last year as a “teen” with a piece of cake.
Happy 4th of July 2nd everyone!
